Highlands Ridge First Addition - Phase IV

Midwest Development added 20 new lots to Highlands Ridge Development in 2012. The covenants and zoning are consistent with the previous phases. We are zoned multi-family throughout Highlands Ridge with lot use defined in our Planned Unit Development.

The soils in the Highlands Ridge area are great with a granular material which allows for good drainage. We don’t think you will find any better soils to build on in the Pierre area and are happy to share our geotechnical report with you.

The picturesque setting for Highlands Ridge Residential Development is within minutes of the Pierre Mall, Super WalMart and the Capitol Complex. Due to the natural topography, there are lots with gorgeous views of the valleys that surround the area. These lots lend themselves to walkout back yards. Welcome to Riverwalk Landing, located on Lake Sharpe, in Fort Pierre, South Dakota. The dream of Riverwalk Landing started back in 2004 with previous owners, and has been through a series of design changes in an effort to most efficiently use the precious riverfront property. As one of the last privately owned commercial properties along the Missouri River, the owners believe that it is a treasure for the community of Fort Pierre. Our mission is to build a development that brings visitors from near and far to enjoy the amenities the river offers.

This Planned multi-million dollar development will transform a portion of the riverfront along the Missouri River banks into a destination for visitors and locals. Modern docks will be wide and provide power and water to the leased dock space.

What makes Riverwalk Landing unique is that it will also provide dry dock rental, with a list of services from cleaning, to stocking, to docking your boat. As part of the Marina Operations facility we will be offering the Captain’s Port Convenience Store for your boating and recreation supplies. The friendly staff at Riverwalk Landing will make your boating maintenance free by prepping and docking your boat so you just hop on and hit the river. And, after a long day on the river, drop off your boat and let our staff clean it up and put it inside the secure dry dock.

Future phases of the development include a multi story mixed use building with commercial space on ground level and living space in upper floors. This is the best location for a marina due to the depth of the water in the adjacent main channel of the Missouri River on Lake Sharpe. The channel depth is critical to attain the necessary depth of water in the marina itself to accommodate the boats. The location is also conveniently located adjacent to Hwy 34/14 bridge spanning the river joining Pierre and Fort Pierre.
